Tara Minerals has an agreement to acquire 100% interest in eight concessions known as the Centenario property located 20 km ESE of Choix, Sinaloa State, Mexico. The concessions total 5,400 hectares and are being purchased for option payments totaling $2,000,000, including $300,000 in value added taxes, due between now and November 2012.

Acquisition Logic

  • The property is in close proximity to the Don Roman mine.
  • A preliminary rock-chip sampling program indicated the potential for several high grade mineral systems at Centenario.

Value Proposition

  • Samples returned two gold/copper systems - 17 g/t gold, 7% copper and 350 g/t silver.
  • Samples also returned two silver/lead/zinc systems - 400 g/t silver, 8% lead and 9% zinc.
  • Identified one structure as being 5 km in strike, approximately 5m wide with surface sampling returning 350 g/t silver, 9% zinc, and 8% lead.
  • If any of the zones prove promising, than the ore can be processed at the Don Roman mill.
  • Considering joint venture partners to progress project.
